Equipment for the German Nordic Paralympic Ski Team

The Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games are the first sporting highlight of 2014. And later on, from 8th to 16th March, top athletes will again be taking to the field in a wide range of disciplines in Sochi in Russia in the competitions for disable sportsmen and women. And the German Nordic Paralympic Ski Team will be among those competing. "The physical disabilities of the competitors call for creative and sometimes unusual solutions, especially when it comes to the right technique and the use of sport equipment," explains national coach Ralf Rombach.

In its capacity as a "Licensed Partner for Germany" serving the German Olympic Sports Confederation, N&M not only supports top-level sport but especially grassroots and disabled sport. Such partners provide funding, equipment and services. N&M managing director Alex Ostermaier: "This year our commitment also includes a financial contribution to the ski equipment for the Nordic Paralympic Ski Team."

The athletes tried out the new skis during the training camp for the national team that took place in Oberhof in Thuringia in the middle of October. Together with their guides, support staff and coaches, the sportsmen and women prepared themselves there for the first competitions of the forthcoming season.
