Felix Erdmann
There's nothing like starting young. He discovered his passion for technology at the tender age of eleven – because his dad organised events, and he went along to give a helping hand. Just three years later while still at school, he was taking on jobs for a small equipment rental firm well beyond the boundaries of his home town of Meiningen in Thuringia. It was during this time that his passion was aroused for light – and for lighting for events.
That's why, after leaving school, he went to Liverpool to study lighting design at the "Institute for Performing Arts". However, his course did not meet his expectations and so he headed out to China, where he founded his own start-up selling LED walls and lighting equipment in Southeast Asia and to Europe – a time-consuming adventure, as he says today. He followed this up by returning to Germany and working as a freelance technical planner.
In 2013 he joined N&M in Munich and did an outstanding job working on large-scale projects, for example becoming the Technical Manager of the New Mobility World at the IAA in Frankfurt. And as he has a particular talent for pulling the strings in complex enterprises, he was put in charge of five projects at the Expo in Kazakhstan. Although the 25-year-old is often away from home on the job, travelling is still his hobby, because loves getting to know and immersing himself in new cultures.
