HYMER Trade Fair Stand – Caravan Salon, Düsseldorf

The camping vehicle manufacturer presents its Hymer and Eriba brands at the sector's leading international fair on a space covering around 8,000 m² – no less than the entire floor space of hall 17 at the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre. 2019 was the third time that we provided the technical equipment for the Hymer stand and the company's press conference at the “Caravan Salon”.

Prior to the advanced set-up schedule, we installed 2,500 metres of trussing, 50 loudspeakers and 750 lighting units (400 of which were moving lights) with distributed control. Then – in close collaboration with August Robotics and using "Lionel", their innovative robot solution – we took just one day to stake out 500 reference points on the floor for the stand construction. This enabled the team from Kohlhaas Messebau to make full use of the following set-up time. This enormous time-saving was one of the benefits enjoyed by our client and Hymer as a result of N&M's service partnership with the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre.

A stage had been especially constructed for the company's press conference in front of the “Welcome Wall”. This – along with the audio equipment we had provided – was dismantled by our crew as the fair continued to create space for the large Hymer info counter.

As far as audio was concerned, our focus was on matrix distribution for various sound zones and direction orientation. The IT network for distributed control was configured by N&M's newly established ICT (Information & Communications Technology) unit prior to installation then monitored remotely during the entire fair. This allows us to detect any bottlenecks at an early stage, for example, and to intervene before any failure occurs.
