League of Legends esports fans were treated to an unforgettable show as the best teams from Europe took against the World Champions of 2023 at the Velodrom in Berlin. This unique League of Legends event took place under the name “Red Bull League of Its Own”, in which the record world champion “T1” from South Korea competed against the European teams.
As the overall technical service provider, we contributed to transform the sold-out Velodrom with 7,000 fans on site into an arena of superlatives. Already in the planning phase, we were able to provide our clients with our holistic understanding of the realisation of such complex events.
During the five-day set-up phase, around 100 technicians worked hand in hand to ensure that everything ran smoothly on the day of the show. Among other things, 24 cameras, 800 moving lights, 12 projectors with an output of 50,000 ANSI lumens and 18 km of fibre optics cable were used. The eleven-hour live show could also be followed in a live stream via Red Bull Gaming's Twitch and YouTube channels. 500,000 simultaneous viewers watched the duels in the stream. In total, the event reached 7.5 million views on Twitch, YouTube, Tiktok and Co.
Because of an outstanding team performance, we were able to realise an unforgettable event for our client and once again demonstrate our expertise in the field of esports.
